Our community

Clear sight is better shared.

Back home, Noor Eyewear was part of community initiatives alongside the work in its shops. Opening in Burnaby, we brought that commitment with us.

Here in Canada, our community work starts with what we know best: vision-health awareness. Many eye problems are easier to manage when they're caught early, and an eye exam is often the first step. So our community work is about helping more people in Burnaby and Metro Vancouver take that step, and about showing up for the neighbourhood that welcomed us.

  • AwarenessPlain-language information about eye health and when to get checked.
  • NeighboursWe want to work with local schools, seniors' centres and community groups in Burnaby.

The Sight promise

Lock your ring into ours.

Awareness can start with one small promise. Make yours any day of the year. Every October we renew it together on World Sight Day, a global day of awareness for blindness and vision impairment coordinated by the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness. The next one is on the second Thursday of October.

Your promise

Your card is made in your browser. Nothing is sent or stored.

Why a promise?

Awareness only matters if it turns into an eye exam. A promise you've said out loud, or sent to someone, is harder to put off.

Why the rings?

Noor's mark is two interlocking rings, like two lenses, or two people. Here, one of them is yours.
