Questions
How often should I have my eyes checked?
Your eye-care professional will recommend a schedule that suits you. For people with no symptoms, the Canadian Association of Optometrists recommends:
- a first exam at 6 to 9 months
- at least one between ages 2 and 5
- every year from 6 to 19
- every two years from 20 to 64
- every year from 65
Your optometrist may advise otherwise. If you can't remember your last exam, it's a good time to book one.
